How I Turned My Daydreams Into Reality. And How You Can Too.

From remote jobs to new homes, manifestation has played a real role in shaping my life. These practical techniques, paired with insights from scientists and quantum theory, show how mindset can transform possibility into reality.

Social media has made manifestation a huge conversation topic in recent years. Some people see it as mindset work, others think it’s unrealistic, and many are still trying to understand it. Manifestation is the practice of using mindset, focus, and intention to influence the outcomes in your life.

Some people approach it spiritually, believing the universe responds to their energy and desires while others take a more psychological approach, seeing it as a mindset shift that changes behavior and how they make decisions. Then there are people who don’t believe in it at all, either because it sounds unrealistic or because they’ve never experienced results firsthand.

I fall into the group of people who use it intentionally and daily. I’ve had success with several manifestation techniques, and I want to share the ones that have worked for me, plus the actual science that backs them up. Even if you’re skeptical, you might be surprised by how practical some of this actually is.

1) Scripting

Scripting is a really fun method, especially if you love writing or journaling. This method can be done a few different ways. Pick a style that suits you best. You can utilize this method by writing a letter to your future self or to the universe expressing gratitude towards what you now have.

Another way — my favorite — is writing out a future scene in your life and visualizing yourself in the details. Write out what the scene looks like, smells like, feels like, and details on the actions that you would take. If you are manifesting a partner then write out what they look like, actions they take towards you and what they say to you. Immersing yourself in this future scene is beautiful and really fun.

Scripting has gotten me my overnight remote job and my apartment by the beach. I haven’t met my future partner yet, but I’ve experienced something manifestation people call “echoes.” An echo is when parts of what you’re calling in through your scripting show up in your reality indirectly, almost like previews of what’s coming.

For example, I’ve heard exact phrases I scripted show up in other people’s relationships. A friend once told me her boyfriend said things to her that I had written down for myself to hear one day. I’ve even had an ex say and do things I scripted for a future partner, not because I wanted them from him, but because the words were already in motion in my reality.

These echoes are like reminders or warm-ups. Some people see them as signs to stay grateful, others see them as tests. Either way, they’re proof something is getting closer.

2) Gratitude

This one is very important, so much so that I already mentioned it in the previous paragraph. You won’t attract anything great if you are stuck in a low energy and vibe. The best way to change your mindset and energy? Say thank you. Simple. Show your gratitude, even for the little stuff.

As someone who grew up in negative environments, rewiring my brain to see positivity and gratitude was not easy. I started by writing down five things a day I was grateful for. At first, the list was simple: my pets, my car, my job, internet access, and having a roof over my head. Over time, as more things came into my life, my gratitude list grew longer and more detailed, which only attracted more into my life.

Do this daily and be ready to see the small, but meaningful, changes that happen in your life!

3) Vision board

Making a vision board is one of the earliest manifestation methods that I had ever heard of. It was a big trend back in the early 2010s on YouTube; everyone used magazines and printed pictures to make them by hand. That’s still a great option if you love something physical, but I prefer using apps like Pinterest or Canva to make my boards.

I will save aesthetically pleasing quotes and photos to private boards on Pinterest that consist of my dream vacations, my type of man, career goals, home inspo, cars, and even fashion pieces that I want hanging in my closet. Then I’ll make a collage on Canva that mixes in my favorite manifestation lyrics, to make it as my phone background and lock screen. That way I can see what I am aiming for multiple times throughout the day. I will update and change it every few months as my life evolves.

This method helped me get my dream car — twice! It also pushed me closer to my dream career of being a full-time writer and excelling in school.

The science of It all

Here’s where the science and logistics of manifestation come in. A growing number of psychologists and neuroscientists explain manifestation through intention, focus, and neuroplasticity and not magic. Dr. James Doty, a neurosurgeon at Stanford and founder of the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, describes something called “embedding your intention.”

Simply put, when you repeatedly focus on a goal, your subconscious starts filtering your decisions and attention toward anything that could help you achieve it. You don’t just daydream, you prime your brain to notice and act on opportunities.

Some people also use quantum physics as a metaphor for manifestation. In experiments, particles exist in multiple potential states until they’re observed, and then they collapse into one reality.

Manifestation borrows that concept symbolically: life contains a “field” of possible outcomes, and the one you focus on becomes the one you move toward. Whether you take the scientific view, the energetic view, or both, the principle is the same that what you repeatedly focus on expands.

After all is said and done

There are many ways to call in the life you want. Make a call to action to the universe, pray, listen to songs that are on your vibration, use the manifestation techniques that I’ve listed here.

Just know that you can create the life you want. Some people see results quickly, but for others it takes time. Your mind is more powerful than you think, and how you direct it matters.

Since I started using the methods listed above, I’ve manifested:

  • Two Mercedes
  • An apartment by the beach
  • A remote job with flexible hours
  • Writing as a source of income
  • A return to school
  • Unexpected money
  • A real interaction with my celebrity crush

I may not have all of my goals and dreams yet, but I have called a lot into my life that my younger self could never have imagined. Not to be cringe, but really, anything is possible!

So here’s my challenge: pick one method and try it for a week. Track anything that shifts, even if it’s small. I’d be shocked if you didn’t see something move.

Although I didn’t understand some of the things you said, the things I did understand i have done some of them in my life and they do work.
And I think if everyone did try harder to will things into existence then the world would 5a greater place for it.
