In a Netflix Original action-thriller, The Mother stars Jennifer Lopez and is directed by Niki Caro. It was originally expected to be released in 2022, but fans of the star have had to wait quite a while for the film to be released. Netflix has finally confirmed the film’s release date, so the wait seems over.
In addition to being the showrunner of HBO’s cosmic horror series Lovecraft Country, Misha Green wrote The Mother, which was completed on January 28, 2022. In addition to Great Lakes Pictures ULC and Vertigo Entertainment producing the film, Nuyorican Production is also producing it.
The Mother Release Date
It has finally been announced that Netflix will release the Jennifer Lopez-starrer thriller in 2023.
Earlier this year, fans were given their first glimpse of The Mother, and it was revealed that the film would release in 2022. However, as time went on, it became evident that the film wouldn’t get the release it deserves. Netflix announced that The Mother would now premiere in 2023 as part of the Fall 2022 movie lineup.
In September 2022, Netflix announced that the movie would be released for streaming in May 2023. Netflix released a teaser trailer for the movie last year along with this announcement. It is now official that The Mother will be released globally on Netflix on May 12, 2023.
The Mother Plot
According to the official synopsis of The Mother, the storyline follows the journey of a deadly assassin who was forced to go on the run years ago. In return, the female assassin returns to protect her daughter from some dangerous men years later.
