The Library of Congress’s National Film Registry announced their 2022 picks for this year. The list consists of the names of movies that have made an impact either culturally, historically, or aesthetically. To be considered, films have to be at least ten years old. A total of 25 productions are chosen every year.

Avatar certainly fills that requirement since it made its theatrical debut in 2009.

This popular James Cameron film has earned positive reviews from critics and numerous awards and is currently the highest-grossing movie ever in the U.S. and Canada. But it is surprisingly not included in the National Film Registry. Maybe the Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden and the National Film Preservation Board are waiting to include the product in another year.

A lot of 2022 films have had some kind of influence. But only 25 films can be chosen every year.

The National Film Registry includes movie like –
