Why Did ‘Shemar Moore’ Leave Criminal Minds?

Shemar Moore is an American actor famously known for his roles in S.W.A.T., Criminal minds, The Young, and The Restless.

Moore played Derek Morgan in Criminal Minds. His character has been a part of the since the first season of the show, and his journey ended in the 11th season. The actor has revealed in several interviews and carpet appearances that what he loves about his character is that people actually resonate with Morgan.

Derek Morgan, aka Moore, left the show in the show’s 11 seasons. The fans were devastated to find out he had left the show. Then Moore broke the silence and cleared that he wanted to pursue other avenues of his life as he wanted to get married, have children, and travel.

But it doesn’t seem to be the only reason to bid farewell to the show, Moore had a professional reason. He wants to be fuelled and excited to try new things and experiment to see his capabilities.

Fortunately, the creators haven’t killed off Moore’s character in the show, so fans can expect his cameos. He appeared in the 12 seasons of the show.

The actor has also voiced Victor Stone, aka Cyborg, in back-to-back animated direct-to-video from the DC universe.
