The Chewing Gum Man: How London’s Millennium Bridge Became an Art Gallery

London boasts another lesser-known mini-museum full of paintings on discarded chewing gum on Millennium Bridge.

Can chewing gum be art?

London–a city well known for its diverse arts and culture with museums like the Tate Modern and The National Gallery–boasts another mini-museum full of paintings on discarded chewing gum.

The artist’s name is Ben Wilson, and you can find him sprawled out on the Millennium Bridge painting small tributes to the city and its people.

Wilson’s minuscule paintings teach us to beautify our communities and may even change our perspective on what makes art.
