The Conservative Political Action Conference started and ended, but what turned heads more than anything was a VERY golden statue of former President Donald Trump, wearing shorts and flip-flops.
The gold statue was wheeled into the Hyatt Regency on the first day of the conference taking place on Thursday, where Donald Trump was scheduled to make his first public appearance and speech since leaving office.
The statue eventually was placed in a booth for a conservative nonprofit called Look Ahead America.
“Two years ago, when I saw all those statues of naked Trump and Trump on a toilet, I said, ‘You know what? I can do better,” Mr. Zegan, the artist, told CNN.
Tommy Zegan, the creator of the statue and a Trump fan, says his creation is made as a humorous caricature and in response to pieces of art mocking Trump.
“Trump and His Magic Wand” was by far the most popular attraction during this year’s CPAC in Orlando, Florida where visitors flooded the hall to take pictures with the statue.
