The FBI successfully located Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and associate, by using her phone’s cellular data.
Maxwell faced charges for child trafficking and was arrested in July 2020. She helped Epstein by recruiting and grooming girls, as young as 14 years old, for him to sexually abuse.
Accordant to the Daily Beast, the recently unsealed court documents reveal the FBI used Maxwell’s cellphone data to track her whereabouts.
Authorities found Maxwell at a 156-acre property in Bradford, New Hampshire, UK, but not before requesting a search warrant.
With the purpose to “employ an electronic investigative technique to determine the location of the cellular device,” the FBI moved forward.
In fact, Maxwell’s mobile phone account under the name of “G Max”, aided the FBI to identify where she was hiding out.
She would use the phone to communicate with her lawyer Laura Menninger, her sister Isabel, and her alleged husband, Scott Burgeson.
Heedless of the charges, Maxwell maintains she is innocent.
Moreover, she refuses the charges she hired young girls to work for Epstein. Currently held detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, she is set for trial beginning in July.
