If you’ve been looking for an excuse to plan a trip to the luxurious city of Dubai, I’ve found just the perfect one for you.

Motiongate, a Hollywood theme park in the region, is adding two new rides to its attractions inspired by films from DreamWorks, Lionsgate and Columbia Pictures. The first one will be a 10-story high rollercoaster based on the successful John Wick franchise. The press release described it as a “4D free spin” ride where “guests will embark on a journey that simulates the epic action of the John Wick world as the coaster races down a 4D track that provides both forward and backward, freestyle spins.”

But wait – it gets cooler! You actually get the option of experiencing the ride by either helping John Wick escape or hunting him down.  Jenefer Brown of Lionsgate says, “This attraction in particular is really about setting the story by putting people in this very immersive environment, and then you really get the action as you get on the coaster.” I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to go 40mph down a 1,000 foot track, pretending that I’m as cool an assassin as Keanu Reeves.

The other ride that is set to open in early 2021 will be based on the mind-bending Now You See Me movie. It will have 180-degree turns and non-inverted loops that’ll give you the experience of being one of the Four Horsemen involved in a grand heist. Did I mention it will be the world’s fastest shining-car rollercoaster?

Yep, I think a trip to Dubai is in order for the next year. Plus, the Motiongate theme park is just one of the multitude of super rad attractions Dubai has to offer! Like flinging yourself off a plane over a man-made island shaped like a palm tree (watch video here) or hanging out at a helipad on the 59th floor of the Burj al Arab hotel which overlooks the Persian Gulf.

I’m telling you – as someone who lived there for 14 years – Dubai is not a city that will disappoint!
