A doughnut shop in the Midlands is looking for taste testers for their new doughnut products and is asking for volunteers to taste these sweat treats and give feedback on them.

Project D, is on the look out for three to five taste testers in each of its delivery locations. Successful volunteers will receive a free box containing 4 different doughnuts once a week for testing, for a whole month.

Project D, the regions favorite doughnut shop, started their business 24 months ago by selling doughnuts at food festivals and delivering orders for corporate events and one-off commissions.

With lock-down in place, all the locations of Project D have been temporarily closed, but they now deliver their handmade doughnuts to homes across the region.

The shop changes its donuts’ flavors every 6 weeks and offers a vegan range of options as well. Accepted taste testers are asked to provide feedback on quality, selection, flavors and toppings.

In addition, these testers will also try out new flavors of future products and receive sneak previews.

“We’re really looking for the ultimate foodies – creative individuals who will be able to provide us with honest feedback,” said Jacob Watts, Project D’s co-owner. “We know this role sounds like something out of a Willy Wonka, but we are genuinely looking for some creative individuals who can help Project D progress to the next level.”

“Since we broadened our delivery range we can see that some doughnuts sell better in some areas than others. So, we would like to gather more information on these taste trends so we can tailor-make our doughnuts to suit the demand.”

Watts added that no experience is necessary for the volunteers that apply, but the shop is looking for genuine doughnut lovers that will be able to distinguish between even the slightest flavor changes and be eager to try out new flavors for future products.

Interested volunteers can apply to be taste testers for Project D’s doughnut shop here.
