Public Transport Is Now Free In Luxembourg

Wish Britain would hurry up and do the same.

They are the first country in the world to have done this.

Luxembourg has always seemed like a pretty cool place to visit, but with its public transport now being free, I’m honestly tempted to move there.

Trains, buses, and trams in Luxembourg will all be free to use as of summer next year, and what’s more, there is no limit to the number of trips members of the public can take on any given day.

Sounds like bloody paradise compared to the extortionate train and bus prices in the UK, especially considering the transport is delayed or cancelled 9/10 times.

The new law in Luxembourg comes shortly after Prime Minister Xavier Bettel was sworn in just a few days ago.

Maybe the UK government will take note and roll out free transport here soon? I don’t hold out much hope, so maybe we should all just jump ship and move to Luxembourg before Brexit rolls around.

Luxembourg isn’t the only European country to pass some refreshing laws, take a look at how Germany has become the first country to legally recognise a third gender.
