Last Monday, parts of the US experienced a complete solar eclipse. At the time, President Trump was at the receiving end of mockery for being pictured looking directly at the phenomenon, despite expertrs warning such behaviour could lead to serious eye damage.
Three days later, Trump took to his favourite social media platform Twitter to retweet a now slightly outdated meme of himself ‘eclipsing’ former President Obama, with the highly controverisal caption “The Best Eclipse Ever”.

In the process of blowing his own trumpet, Trump retweeted the meme from Jerry Travone, self proclaimed “YouTube Actor and Political Junkie”, known for wiritng anti-Semitic tweets. This wouldnt be a first for Trump, who was last month accused of retweeting an anti CNN video created by a Reddit user who has previously posted anti-Semitic graphics.
