Tesla’s Boombox Feature Allows You to Play Farting Noises and More on The Outside of the Car

I guess this is necessary in life?

Happy New Year everyone! I hope your holidays were joyous and safe. 2020 is in the rearview mirror but is definitely not going to be easily forgotten. Hopefully, 2021 will bring some much-needed relief. In lighter news, Tesla has a new software update for their cars and it features a unique, shall we say, new feature.

Boombox mode, with the new update, allows drivers to use fart noises in place of the horn. So no more regular horn noises when someone is about to hit you or when the car in front of you won’t go when the light turns green. Goat noises are also available for those who want to bring a little country to your Tesla. Who else thinks this is going to cause more accidents or problems because of the noises being made instead of a horn?

Another feature on Boombox is you can have it play the sounds of an ice cream truck so you could fool everyone into thinking you have ice cream on board. Sounds like Tesla just wants people to play tricks on people more than having the car be safe for all.

How Boombox Works

“Turn your car into a boombox and entertain a crowd with your media player when parked. You can also customize the sound your car makes when you press the horn, drive the car or when your car is moving with Summon. Select an option from the dropdown menu or insert your own USB device and save up to five custom sounds. Emissions Testing Mode can be used outside the car. To setup, select your desired sound and place the cushion on the external speaker. When ready, play selected sound by pressing the left scroll wheel button or using the turn signal. To access, tap the Application Launcher > Toybox > Emissions Testing Mode.”

Now one person tweeted Tesla can we play any song through the system? Elon Musk replied that you can in fact do that because there is a custom music/sound option. This person wanted to play “Move Bitch” by Ludacris. I am on board with this now. I mean seriously, how many times are we behind drivers going too slow or won’t go when the signal light changes to green. A horn does the trick but having Ludacris come blasting out at the driver would be worth their reaction and stomach pains from laughing so hard. With all of the cars catching on fire Tesla has been through and their seeming lack of concern, it seems like their priorities are not exactly where they should be. Nevertheless, I’m sure we’re all going to start hearing these sounds on the roads soon. First one to post someone playing the Ludacris song though will be my personal favorite!
