So, we’ve all heard the rumours of ‘The Rock’ considering a presidial role in the US. Not only have they resurfaced once again, but catalysed by WWE legend, The Undertaker.
2017 marked the initial whisperings of this rumour. In an interview, he said ‘I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted.’ Keen to follow his fans in whichever way they wish, the Rock continued to protest his vehemence: ‘Truly I mean that,’ he said, ‘and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people… So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.’
Talking of the ground, we believe that ear is also listening to The Undertaker, Mark Calaway, who claims Johnson would be the ideal man for the job. Here is what he said:
‘That man works his tail off and he dives in wholeheartedly in everything that he does and if he gets his mindset that he wants to make a run at politics, ya know what? I think he’ll do it. I don’t know where he sits on a lot of his policies, but I know if he has the will and the determination, he usually does it.’
With his longstanding friends ‘wholehearted’ support, we are sure Johnson will do whatever he wishes, as long as the public wants it, of course.
