Rockstar Releases First Full-Length Trailer For “Red Dead Redemption 2”

October 26th… we’re almost there…

While Red Dead Redemption 2’s October 26 release date still seems like a world away, that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited early.

Rockstar Games has finally release an extended trailer for the hotly-anticipated game. Check out the trailer above.

Looks like a whole lot of gritty fun, right? Of course, the trailer didn’t seem to feature much actual game-play, if any at all. Still, Rockstar has a pretty good track record; I don’t see any reason to doubt.

The game’s title is a bit of a misnomer: Red Dead Redemption 2 is in fact the third entry into the Red Dead series, after Red Dead Revolver in 2004, and then Red Dead Redemption in 2010.

Moreover, Red Dead Redemption 2 does not continue the story of its 2010 predecessor, though it will feature some recognizable characters, including John Marston and Dutch Van der Linde.

Instead, this latest offering goes back to 1899, following outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they loot and fight their way through the waning American frontier.

If you missed it, here’s an earlier (and shorter) trailer for the game. And if you’re interested, and located in the U.K, Rockstar is hiring video game testers.
