The second season of Indian Matchmaking started streaming on Netflix on Wednesday, August 10th.

The series consists of eight episodes, with a run time of roughly 30-35 minutes.
This season, Aparna Shewakramani (one of the well-known contestants from the maiden season) has returned, as she could not find her match last season.

Sima Taparia evolved as a social media sensation because of Netflix’s Indian Matchmaking Season 1 (2020).

However, after the show premiered on this platform, it received a lot of criticism. The show was accused of promoting unrealistic standards and body/height shaming. But there are also a lot of viewers who prefer to look at this matchmaking.

Presently, the second season has returned, and Taparia has started making headlines again.

In Season 2’s second episode, Taparia was seen chatting with Nadia. She is a contestant who revealed that she had developed feelings for someone seven years younger than her.

Taparia seemed to be unimpressed by this revelation. Nadia brings up the age difference between Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.
Taparia then makes the following remarks.

“I don’t feel it’s a good match. He looks small and petite in front of her, and she looks elder.”
