The Gray Man is one of the most expensive and ambitious feature films on Netflix to date. The Russo Brothers, however, are coming back for more with Ryan Gosling back as the elusive Sierra Six in the sequel.

Joe and Anthony Russo are going to direct the movie once again. Stephen McFeeley, the co-writer of the original from the Mark Greaney novel with Christopher Markus, is currently creating the script.

The Gray Man debuted as the No. 1 movie recently on the streamer in 92 countries and secured a 91% Rotten Tomatoes audience score, and Netflix undoubtedly took notice.

The first film had a massive budget of $200M. This makes it the most expensive and ambitious Netflix feature to date. It also had a limited theatrical release a week before it made its debut on Netflix.

The Russos are about to start the production with AGBO’s Mike Larocca and Roth Kirschenbaum Films’ Joe Roth and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum.

Netflix’s The Gray Man sequel is presently under development. Writer Stephen McFeeley developing its scripts right now.

The Russos are going to film The Electric State for Netflix until around April 2023. It’s therefore unlikely that filming for The Gray Man 2 won’t start until next summer.

The filming therefore cannot be expected to start in 2022 at this rate.

The cast includes

1) Ana de Armas as Dani Miranda
2)the CIA agent who ends up working and protecting the Six;
3)Page as Denny Carmichael, the corrupt CIA agent;
4) Jessica Henwick as Suzanne Brewer and
5) Julia Butters as Claire Fitzroy, the founding family of Six.
