“Dutchintheusa” is showing vital self-defense techniques tailored to modern-day situations.
A Tiktokker who goes by the username “DutchintheUSA”, regularly shows videos of himself helping his fans how to escape death or attacks in modern-day situations. Out of all the videos on Tiktok, Robin’s are more useful than most- more than sea shanties anyway. But Robin’s videos range from how to escape chokeholds, handcuffs, and reviewing safety keychains.
Robin begins the video with himself caught between the headrest and a cord strangling him. He proceeds to turn his head sideways, protecting his throat from the cord, and then using your hand to protect your neck from the tension. A simple move then helps the attacked person escape completely from the cord and save their lives.
Another video shows fans how to escape a chokehold. The move involves the person lifting their shoulder and using their arm to remove the person’s grip. Not only is the advice practical, but it’s also fun to practice with friends, especially as it might save your life one day.
