Bud Light has released the “coolest console ever”: everyone else is releasing game consoles, so why not?
Bud Light, the American-style pale lager produced by Anheuser-Busch, has created a video game console called the BL6 that keeps two of your beers cold while you play.
The console has 16GB of memory and six games including Tekken 7, RBI Baseball 20 and Soulcalibur. It has a built-in Asus projector. The best thing about it? It looks like a six-pack of beer.
This comes after Miller Lite’s “Cantroller” video game stunt: a can of beer you can play a game with. But let’s be honest, it is far from being on par with the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. What it is, is a fantastic marketing gimmick.
However, much like the anticipated PS5, the BL6 is next to impossible to get your hands on, currently going for over £8,000 at the charity auction over at ShopBeerGear.com (with all proceeds being donated to the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s Change is on the Menu programme).
The BL6 is a Windows 10 PC equipped with an Intel i7-1065G7 CPU and 16GB of RAM, with a built-in projector, all packed into a big blue case designed to look like a Bud Light six-pack. It has two front cans that act as cooling fans, two holders for the included gaming controllers, and a final back couple of cooler compartments perfect for Bud Light.
