The perfect way to avoid lifelong tattoo-regret has been invented in Korea.

Whether it was a Freshers’ whim or a Vegas dare, many of us have an ugly piece of ink that we’d do almost anything to remove. And whilst there is a growing market for professional tattoo removals, Prinker, a tattoo startup founded in Korea, believes it has found a cheaper, and more novel, solution.

In a promo video posted to YouTube last December but that has just started to go viral, the new company display the stunning Prinker S, a temporary tattoo printer that will allow users to trial their desired ink before making a lifelong decision.

The gadget, listed on the Prinker website for £205.99, will allow users to draw their own design which can then be printed onto the skin, and also holds a database of over 5,000 pre-made designs that can be selected.

In terms of functionality, the device must be paired via Bluetooth with the free Prinker app, and from then users can use their mobile phone, tablet, or laptop to upload personal designs or select generic ones that take their fancy.

The tattoos take just seconds to print onto the body, and can be washed off with ease. The major bonus is that no flesh is penetrated by any intrusive needle at any point in the process.

It is yet to be seen whether Prinker will be the next must-have for the wider public, but with the affordable price and diverse, accessible functionality, this ingenious piece of Korean technology is likely to fly off the shelves thanks to those hesitant about taking the initial plunge into the ink.
