Releasing an image that he made 10 years ago, world renowned, yet highly anonymous artist, Banksy, reinstates his painting at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery in the UK.

Banksy brought this piece back into the public eye as he is making a statement on the UK’s decision to leave the European Union, commonly referred to as ‘Brexit’.

His piece, which he calls ‘Devolved Parliament’, features dozens of chimps sitting in the House of Commons, portraying how he feels about the decisions being made in the UK right now.

Banksy even adds to his instagram post, “Laugh now, but one day no-one will be in charge”, which is a spinoff of his past works which feature a monkey holding a sign that says: “laugh now, but one day we’ll be in charge”.

Banksy has long given the world insightful and thought-provoking social commentary. To see him pull out an image that he made a decade ago, makes one think about how his other past works may be able to play into decisions being made in society today.
