Summer is quickly approaching us, and even though things will be different this year, it is still fun to consider riding the longest waterslide in the world. This waterslide is 1,111 meters long and is located in Penang, Malaysia.

Guinness World Records has dubbed the slide as the World’s Longest Tube Waterslide! It lives in Escape Theme Park and honestly, it looks like a ton of fun. Check out the video below of a full ride of the waterslide.

Wow, what a dream! Not only is the slide huge and packed with adventure, but you can also enjoy the beautiful landscape of Malaysia while you enjoy the ride. The slide is set on Penang Island. The average duration of this waterslide ride is four and a half minutes!

Does this sound fun and relaxing to you? If there wasn’t a pandemic, I’d be packing my bags! The slide spans 3,645 feet and looks like a blast.

The boss of the park operator, Sim Leisure Group, Sim Choo Kheng, said of the slide:

The idea of this waterslide came about over frustration that most fun rides and water slides last merely a few seconds, and having the waterslide start on a hilltop at a 70 meter elevation would make this ride last a good few minutes.

The waterslide is 488 pieces and there was no heavy machinery involved in installation to keep the natural environment safe. Well, there you have it – I guess we know where we are planning to visit when the world gets back to normal!
