WATCH: Vegans Play Slaughterhouse Audio In A Packed Steakhouse

They’ve definitely got beef with the diners.

The incident took place at Touro’s Steakhouse in Brighton on Saturday night, and was conducted by vegan activist group Direct Action Everywhere.

Ah, like every movement that makes some valid points, there’s always got to be a few that take it way to far and make the whole thing either laughable or downright annoying.

Which is really what these members of the group Direct Action Everywhere did on Saturday night. Carrying placards and a loudspeaker, they stormed the Touro’s Steakhouse, and proceeded to play audio from inside a slaughterhouse, as well as deliver a pretty lengthy speech on why it’s cruel to eat animals.

Now, I do think a lot of vegans make some great points, and we probably all should be eating a little less meat now that we’ve been told it’s contributing to so much pollution. However, call me stupid, but it seems that targeting people who have literally chosen to go to a STEAKhouse may not be the best tactic? All you’re going to do is either get people’s backs up, or make yourself a laughing stock.

Which is pretty much what happened in this case, as diners can be seen laughing and filming the group while they chanted ‘It’s not food, it’s violence!’.

The diners really don’t appear to have been put off, do they? It’s not really the best way to get people to listen to you.

I do feel sorry for all those vegans who really are just trying to make a difference, but a little less aggressively.

Each to their own, but I don’t think storming the steakhouse had the desired effect.

It’s not always the vegans taking it a bit too far however, take a look at this butcher swinging bits of meat in a vegans face.
