It’s been awhile since Kevin McCallister hit our screens. But, Home Alone is a Christmas Classic. Therefore, it is genius that the team over at Google have teamed up with child star Macaulay Culkin. In their new advert uses their home assistant technology.

The minute-long advert shows a now grown-up Culkin taking on his role as Kevin McCallister. We find him once again, home alone. However, this time things go a lot smoother with the aid of his Google Assistant.

This advert is full of nostalgia and throwbacks to famous scenes from the film. Moreover, we see Macaulay initiate ‘Operation Kevin’ with the Google home, turning on a security system and triggering cutouts and mannequins to start moving, so it looks as if he isn’t home alone. Although, we are pretty sure the mannequin is sitting on top of a Roomba-esque vacuum cleaner!

We all know about crazy stuff we can ask our phones/home assistants but, try these awesome Home Alone Easter Egg ones!

  • How much do I owe you?
  • Did I forget something?
  • The Wet Bandits are here.
  • It’s me Snakes. I got the stuff.
  • I’m the man of the house.

This advert is such an imaginative way to show what the Google Assistant is capable of. Plus everyone loves seeing homages to their holiday favourites!

Check out this crazy homage to Kevin McCallister!
