An incredibly dedicated, and skilled, Hot Wheels enthusiast has spent the last four months building a huge track, in their own back garden!
A brand new YouTube channel has surfaced, Backyard Racing, and they’re kicking this off impressively. The channel only has one video uploaded but that video has already become massively popular with over 60k views.
The video shows the point of view of the car racing round the track, so we get the driver’s perspective. If the driver was from the island of Lilliput that is. The car races round the track taking sharp turns, flying over bumps, jumping through funnels and even taking a dip into the water, most likely to cool the Hot Wheels off.
After seeing the track, it’s not surprising to hear that it took the builder’s four months to build the 2,000 foot route. Here’s what they had to say about the project;
We built this MegaTrack in our backyard over 4 months using a variety of materials including wood, 10 ladders, 2 inflatable pools, PVC tubing, blocks, plastic container tubs, cardboard boxes, pool noodles, and Hot Wheels products. A lot of troubleshooting took place as the body of the car we were using didn’t initially fit through a booster. 3 months of modifications/troubleshooting and 1 month of construction later and here we are!
I’m sure after seeing this many of us will be rummaging through our old toy boxes trying to find as many things as possible to cobble together a track nearly half as impressive as this. All I can say is, I hope the channels Backyard Racing can come up with something to top this, because it’s not going to be easy.
