Look both ways!

We learn from a young age – you always need to look both ways before crossing the street! Even if it was the only time this woman forgot to do so, it still almost cost her her life. This close call was caught on camera, as Meio Dia Parana was reporting about how dangerous the junction is, and how it will soon be closing due to accidents.

The situation occurred in Cascavel, Brazil, on the BR-277. This woman cyclist was trying to cross the busy street when she lost her balance brushing against a motorcycle. Next, she started tolling right into a truck! Luckily, she was able to stop before the truck’s wheels ran over her – they only smashed her front tire. This situation definitely displays the dangers of this bustling junction.

Here is the incident on video:

Thankfully, she was just embarrassed and not hurt! She had to continue her trip on foot, but that is a much better alternative than what could have happened. I also wish she was wearing a helmet!

Well, this junction does need to be closed down for this very reason, and hopefully, it will be before anything like this could happen again. Remember to always be alert and careful when you are cycling and driving!

We are so relieved this woman is okay and did not face any serious injuries or worse. This type of situation really puts things into perspective – let’s all enjoy and cherish the lives we have and please – be safe!
