No more fires for her.

Is there anything worse than the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night when you’re trying to sleep before a big exam? (Ok, maybe, but you get the point)

A student at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts thought it would be a great idea to set off the fire alarm six times in the dormitory, McIntyre Hall. Yes, you read that right, she set the fire alarm off six separate times. Janelys Pimentel, 22, was the resident assistant on the third floor of McIntyre Hall. Well, some RA she was. Maybe she really didn’t like the residents on her floor.

Pimentel was arrested on two counts of arson, four counts of wantonly injuring real and personal property, and six counts of vandalism. After temporary hidden cameras were set up, the sixth fire she set ablaze was her last. This incident happened at 3:26 am on Thursday February 7th according to the police report.

Apparently Pimentel also evacuated people from the fires SHE set herself! How crazy is that. Maybe she wanted to look like a hero? The prosecutor said:

The fire alarm starts flashing, lights start. Shortly after she exits her room she starts knocking on doors to alert other students of the alarm and exits the building

I think there are certainly better ways to be a hero? Like donating to charity and then bragging about it on social media later.
