VIDEO: Skater’s Paradise: On/Off – Youki Fernandez’s Hypnotizing Day & Night Skate Sesh In Berlin

The most creative skate film we’ve seen for a while.

Filmmaker Youri Fernandez’s On/Off can be best described as a monochromatic portrait of a night and day skate around Berlin. Don’t let the simplicity of this explanation fool you, this is seriously incredibly thought out!

Youki’s mesmerizing new video flips the switch back and forth from day to night while simultaneously showcasing some great skateboarding and editing/video production skills, Day or night, Berlin is a beautiful place with some really sick skate spots- there’s literally banks & ledges everywhere- even the flat-ground tricks look amazing in the steadily pulsating grey-black.

If you want some more artsy skateboarding goodness, check out Ryan Sheckler, Zion Wright, and Danny Leon shredding a wind turbine factory in Spain.
