No matter where you are in the world right now, I think we can all agree that through all of this uncertainty, we need as much humor and happiness we can get. Memes on social media have been getting better by the day-from general COVID-19 reminders to Tiger King and other popular series – there is no shortage of laughs. But Tommy Lee, drummer of Motley Crue, has got to take top prize for his latest post about Donald Trump.
According to a source at sickchirpse.com, Lee posted a long rant on his social media about just how awful Trump has handled yet another crisis during his presidency. He has failed at every opportunity to reassure the country. But is anyone really surprised by this? I know I’m not. The vocabulary and phrases alone make this rant that much better!
Tommy Lee’s Open Letter…Do Not Eat Or Drink While Reading This, Trust Me
Read the open letter below and do heed my warning…do not drink or eat anything while reading this. I cried so many happy tears!
What did I tell you? HILARIOUS. But here’s the kicker: Lee didn’t actually write all of that! This was a published piece by “a man named Aldous J Pennyfarthing in an article that featured on ‘The Daily Kos’ back in October 2017” (sickchirpse.com 2). The part about India in Lee’s post was originally about China but was updated for more current failings by the president (sickchirpse.com 2). It is also unclear if Lee wrote this post himself with the changes or if Craig Alan Wilkins, whoever that is, wrote it but either way its a work of art. Maybe an audio or video of the reading by Lee will be next to come and that can only add to the triumph of this post.
I’ve written about Trump a few times now and those who have read my pieces about him know I show no sympathy or any kind of support toward him. He has failed time after time to reassure the country during difficult times. Every time something happens, he blames the media for making situations worse than they really are. He has no idea how to diplomatic or a human being with feelings at all. I can only hope that come November, the madness will be over. But for now, I am going to enjoy all of this hilarity and criticism of him. I’m going to view these as little gifts that we can all enjoy! And as always, stay safe and healthy out there everyone!
