Maybe it is just me, but if the guy I was doing business with was in prison, I wouldn’t exactly think that was a good idea. But apparently, Martin Shkreli has got himself a phone, and its business as usual… From his cellblock.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Shkreli, who is currently serving 7 years in prison is using a contraband phone to run a business. This is, obviously, prohibited within the prison, but Martin has never been one to care what people think.

The height of infamy, Shkreli is most known for hiking up the price of the drug Daraprim by 5,000%. However, this is not why he is currently in prison. He is serving a sentence on fraudulent charges based on a hedge fund he was running.

Most of the information shared about Martin’s new life in prison sounds like a bad comedy set in jail. He has new friends called “Krispy” and “D-block” who apparently refer to him by the affectionate name of “Asshole”. He also has taken up a job looking after cats, he argues with his cellmates over correct grammar. Furthermore, he can now do a whopping 15 push-ups, in a row!

Although, more on the business end of things, he has allegedly already fired someone through using his contraband phone. Apparently, he intends to be richer when he leaves in 2023, then he was entering prison. Hopefully, the system will put him in his place before that can happen.

The “mastermind” behind the fraudulent Fyre Festival is apparently hated behind bars, read about why here!
