Last Friday (August 16th), Oxford County police reported that a man stole approximately $187,000 worth of cheese after the shipment did not arrive at its drop-off point in New Brunswick.

The mystery man showed up at the business and provided paperwork that allegedly proved his responsibility for the shipment. His blue transport truck was then loaded and he simply drove off with the plethora of cheese.

Police only grew suspicious after the shipment failed to reach its destination. Upon further inquiry, the police found that the paperwork provided by the man turned out to be fraudulent.

As of the writing of this article, the cheese bandit is still on the loose and no new information has sprung up. Anyone with further information is asked to contact the Oxford County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
