Grinch-For-Hire Service Says ‘Mum Knew What To Expect’ After House Is Left Trashed

The Grinch definitely stole Christmas this year!

A woman in Belfast was left disgusted after hiring the Grinch to pay her kids a visit.

The Belfast mum hired a Grinch character to come along to her kids Christmas party and have a bit of fun. But fun is the last thing she had.

The character was supposed to come along, mess up the kids bedrooms, have a pillow fight, and put toilet paper on the tree. But the mum got a lot more than she bargained for and was not happy about it.

In a post that went viral, but has since been deleted, the mum shared pictures of before and after the visit and said: “So paid £85 for a Grinch visit… advertises the Grinch to come in, mess the kids’ beds, have pillow fights, put toilet roll around your Christmas tree and pictures with the kids at the end (they were told to leave, no pictures) VS what I got, every single bit of party good, expensive cupcakes threw all over the place, tree decorations broke, fairy up liquid poured on my kitchen food, eggs smashed and a full bottle over my floor and son! Kid’s new onesies ruined. Highly, highly do not recommend… mailed and complained, no reply. Grinch defo came stole Christmas, never been so disgusted in my life! [sic].”

In response to the post where a screenshot made it’s way to Twitter one user commented “Nooooo you’re a mean one Mr Grinch!” while another responded “Some bloke dressed as the Grinch literally rocked up, trashed the joint and then got paid for it.” Others were rather unsympathetic saying “Paid for the Grinch, got the Grinch. No pleasing some people.”

After the post went viral the company that provided the Grinch service, Santa Stop Here Belfast, responded saying that the homeowners sister hired them and was told exactly what to expect. They don’t seem fazed by the complaint saying “We’ve done 30 visits this year with no complaints. We have been doing this for three years in total.”

If anything, this is free advertising for the company as they say “Our Grinch is loving the attention – we’ve had hundreds of booking enquiries today.” But to add insult to injury for the homeowner involved they revealed that “The Grinch also knew them personally – but hasn’t told them who was below the mask yet!”

So it doesn’t look like this complaint is going to slow down this particular Grinch, and if you live in the Belfast area and fancy having your house trashed by a man in a furry green outfit I’m sure they’d be more than happy to oblige.
