Scottish craft brewers reveal customers will have another chance to find its signature gold can, which will be hidden in packs of 12, 24, or 48 packs of beer this month.
BrewDog returned to their Willy Wonka marketing approach ahead of this Valentine’s Day weekend, having hidden ’24 karat gold Hazy Jane cans’ in multipacks of IPA sold across the nation this month.
From 12 February, 5 BrewDog golden cans will be up for grabs, each worth £15,000, alongside £10,000 of equity shares and a VIP tour of its Ellon HQ Brewery, totalling a value of £25,000 for each lucky winner.
‘Customers will be given the chance to win one of the 24-carat gold Hazy Jane cans by shopping any Hazy Jane multipack,’ the company explained.
Reportedly, customers can find these multipacks across Tesco, Sainburys, ASDA, Morrisons, with other partners to be released soon.
The company has been known to pull tongue in cheek antics, such as mocking Donald Trump by asking fans to name a bear inspired by him to celebrate their initiative to be a carbon-negative company.
Suggestions included ‘It’s getting colder and that’s my real hair’ and ‘Hocus potus climate wizard’.
‘All profits will go to environmental charities and causes,’ co-founder James Watt explained in his announcement on Twitter.
BrewDog further campaigned to rename Prestwick Airport ‘Joe Biden International’ earlier this year.
Previously BrewDog hid the gold Hazy Jane cans late last year in November. Nothing like a good marketing campaign, but does this trump the Budlight gaming console?
