Coca-Cola Heir Gets Busted With $1.3 Million Worth Of Marijuana

Alkiviades David, a Greek billionaire who’s the Coca Cola heir, was recently caught with about 5,000 weed plants and other products on his private jet that is estimated to be worth $1.3 million dollars. That’s a lot of 0’s!

Alki’s private jet touched down at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on the Caribbean island of St.Kitts when authorities found the plants the weed products on his jet and arrested him on illegal possession charges. Onboard with the billionaire was also Hollywood star Jonathan Rhys Meyers who has appeared in The 12th Man and The Tudors and Vikings. The men definitely had an interesting flight and fun time before they got busted.

The billionaire was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Unit and was charged specifically with the intent to supply, importation of a controlled drug, and possession. After paying $300,000 cash bail, David was freed from his charges and is now expected to go on trial at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 14.

In David’s defense, he claims that the plants were all “hemp” and were brought onboard internationally, so he could legally start a cannabis business in eastern Carribean. Although Coca Cola has made some initiatives in creating cannabis beverages, I don’t this incident was part of their strategic plan…
