Now it’s the spooky time again and we are about to dive into the world of scary movies and monsters via Netflix offerings. As always, it is possible to find something even for those who dislike frightening flicks.

If you are one of those who grew up with the Goosebumps by R.L. Stine or Are You Afraid of The Dark TV series as a child, you might find many similarities here and there and will be prepared for the excellent watching experience. Do not look for extreme bloodshed and violence as it’s not about that! You have to get things intense and Netflix has the means to achieve that!

5 Best Halloween Netflix Shows for Dorm Room Movie Night

1. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

It’s time to get back to Halloween in 1968, which is already quite frightening! It’s a great horror and thriller flick based on the stories by Alvin Schwartz. It has a lot of folklore elements and legends as you always learn something valuable and expand your creative horizons. It’s a small city that you will explore along with a team of friends who go on exploring those odd deaths in the neighborhood.

2. Nobody Sleeps In The Woods Tonight

A great Polish horror flick that is truly worth watching, especially if you are also dependent on technology. It talks about the offline camp because the group of the main characters just cannot imagine their lives without the use of computers and smartphones. Yet, what does the forest hide, and what dark secrets are about to unfold? It has a great storyline and it is a movie about true friendship that will make your Halloween way better than ever before! Speaking of the online world, remember that your college studies can be made easier if you pay someone to write essay and finally fight all those monsters that hide between the pages of your grading rubric!

3. Crimson Peak

A gothic environment is always scary for some odd reason! It’s a great haunting movie with amazing costumes, a bit of drama, and scares that will make you scream. Add a British aristocrat, a creepy old house, and the dark secrets that it hides.

4. Night Teeth

This one is quite scary and teaches you a lesson about not picking odd passengers as you are driving through the night. As a college student, you will be able to relate to many things as the Psychology of survival kicks in. The movie remains intense throughout and speaks of learning the importance of trusting people and being responsible for your actions.

5. There’s Someone Inside Your House

There is a mysterious person hunting for students as their dark secrets are being revealed. There is a group of misfits that can stop the monster and finally bring peace to the community. It is one of the best displays of fear on screen as one can relate to most characters and sees their dialogues and inner thoughts as they are fearing to become the next victims. Since you never know who is the masked character, it adds a frightening aspect to the watching experience.

Are There Some Titles For Younger Audiences?

Of course, there are certain horror flicks that are absolutely safe for kids unless they belong to those who are overly sensitive! You can look at the Disney offerings that include Muppets’ Haunted Mansion or the famous Frankenweenie which will be a good fit for the entire family. If you want to explore some classics, why not choose Gremlins or have fun watching the Ghostbusters as the young sing along with the famous title credits song? There are many ideas to choose from that you can watch when you get home to visit your younger siblings for Halloween before you get back to college studies.
