Peter Sripol uses a 3D printer and a lathe to craft a game-changing continuously firing Nerf Blaster with a combustible engine.

YouTuber Sripol has been known to modify the iconic plastic Nerf gun to run on compressed air, hydrogen, steam, and even propane. But his latest steam-powered venture, using an internal combustion engine, was something completely different and unpredictable.

Using a Dreel, a lathe a 3D printer, and an array of handy tools, Sripol created an adapter to allow a 1/2-horsepower four-stroke engine to replace the usual electric motors on the flywheel firing mechanism on a Nerf gun, after some trial and error.

That sounds incredibly technical, but it was completely worth the complex and experimental process to see the results and what looked like incredible fun.

Of course, with Covid-19 restrictions, we need all the fun we can get, so the infectious joy of YouTuber Sripol may well inspire you to do something similar in your shed – or perhaps something completely different.

And not only did Peter Sripol achieve all this, but he recorded the process and made a YouTube video on his 1.65 million-subscriber channel, just so you can watch exactly how he revolutionised the Nerf gun.
