The last season of Netflix’s popular series ‘Stranger Things‘ is rapidly approaching, and fans are excited to know how it will conclude. They are also interested in how the franchise will continue beyond the conclusion of the main series, with many fans hoping that the spinoff project will allow the storylines of their favourite characters to continue.

Of course, it makes sense to hear more from the characters we have become familiar with and love with the series. This is why fans jumped on the latest report from Giant Freakin Robot that said Millie Bobby Brown would continue her character as Eleven in a spinoff project. The report claimed Brown had signed a contract to play Eleven again as a spinoff.

Stranger Things Season 5 Rumours

Fan’s excitement over the rumour was instantly awakened, but it was short-lived because of how quickly people involved with the show responded.

The Stranger Things writers quickly responded to the report from Giant Freak in Robot after learning about it with a short and clear statement. The show’s official Twitter account responded to the tweet that included the fake information with the phrase, “Not True,” making it quite obvious that the rumours about an Eleven spinoff are untrue.

Upon the conclusion of Stranger Things with its fifth season, it appears that fans will indeed be bidding a painful farewell to Eleven and many of their other beloved characters. The Duffer brothers said they already have a concept for a spinoff during an interview with Variety in 2022. They further stated that only Finn Wolfhard is aware of their concept. However, this mysterious sequel is still to look forward to when the show is over.

You can watch Stranger Things right now on Netflix. The release of Season 5 is expected in 2024.
