Will Ferrell shows up for Ryan Reynolds interview and Ryan Reynolds does the same.

Ryan Reynolds was supposed to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live on the 11th November, but when Jimmy announced his new guest he was in for a surprise. Emerging from backstage was not the Canadian actor but instead Elf star Will Ferrell.

Ferrell went on to answer all of Jimmy’s questions, such as how marriage to Blake Lively is, their children’s halloween costumes, and even promoted Ryan’s new film Red Notice on Netflix.

That same night, Jimmy Fallon was in for a very similar surprise as Will Ferrell bailed on the interview and Ryan Reynolds swooped in to save the day. Ryan sat with Kimmel promoting Will Ferrell’s series, The Shrink Next Door.

This unique publicity stunt was used to promote both actors new film Spirited. A Christmas themed musical film inspired by the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol.
