When is ‘Shadow and Bone’ Season 2 Coming to Netflix? | January Release Update

Shadow and Bone season 2 will not arrive at Netflix in January 2023. The show premiered in 2021 and it has had fans obsessed ever since. So they are waiting nearly two years for season 2 now.

But after the latest update from the makers of the Netflix adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse fantasy books, it seems that the wait for the second season will not be long.

What is Shadow and Bone about?

Shadow and Bone an adaptation of two of Leigh Bardugo novels set in the Grishaverse. It talks about the journey of orphan Alina Starkov, who realises that she is a very powerful Grisha after learning about a dormant and extraordinary power she has. The official online from Netflix reads:-

“In a world cleaved in two by a massive barrier of perpetual darkness, where unnatural creatures feast on human flesh, a young soldier uncovers a power that might finally unite her country. But as she struggles to hone her power, dangerous forces plot against her. Thugs, thieves, assassins and saints are at war now, and it will take more than magic to survive.”

Shadow and Bone season 2 release date

Netflix recently revealed that the second season of Shadow and Bone season 2 will be released on March 16th, 2023.

Entertainment Weekly states that the second season will adapt both Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising. Fans of the show can expect some elements from the Six of Crows duology in season 2.
