Tyler Perry is returning to Netflix with another film, A Jazzman’s Blues. It has been Perry’s dream project for a long time, and he has been trying to make it since he wrote the screenplay in 1995. The script for A Jazzman’s Blues is Perry’s first script ever. It’s been a long time coming, but audiences everywhere will now see this long-awaited film in just a few days.

A Jazzman’s Blues is the new drama movie written, produced, and directed by Tyler Perry. It’s based on a forbidden love story between a young couple as they travel the world as two Black people living in the deep South during the ’40s and the following decades.

The drama film will make its way to Netflix on Friday, September 23rd at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. Those living in the Central time zone will have a release time of 2:00 a.m. CT on the release date. Although the movie runs for 2 hours and 7 minutes, we believe some fans will have no problem watching it late. Even if you’re not used to staying up late, we think you can manage to stay up late this time. A Jazzman’s Blues is undoubtedly a movie worth staying up late for.

This movie is rated R. It may not be suitable for ages 17 and under. It contains material that most parents consider inappropriate for a younger audience to watch. The movie involves drug use, violent images, rape, brief sexuality, and strong language.
