WATCH: The First Trailer For Season Three Of True Detective Is Out

Hooray for detective drama!

Remember when True Detective was basically the hottest show of 2014?

And then it kind of lost its momentum with season two and fell to the back burner. But it is revamped and ready for another go with season three! The upcoming season will maintain a lot of the elements from season one that made the show so popular. It is for this reason I think season three will be a hit.

The third season will keep elements of the rural/gothic setting, multiple timelines, and a real mystery that will unfold throughout the season. Though the trailer is fairly short, you can get a very clear idea of how the show will be returning to its former glory.

I love that the trailer doesn’t give too much away. You know those movie trailers that are two minutes long and give away the entire plot and then there’s no point in even going to see the movie anymore? This trailer definitely doesn’t do that, but it gives enough away that you get interested in what is going to happen, and you want to watch the show.  It looks like it will be a very dramatic and intense season and I can’t wait to see what’s in store. Here’s hoping this third season doesn’t disappoint!

If you like crime drama, you’ll love this!
