WATCH: Ricky Gervais Is The Worst Superhero Ever In ‘After Life’

And not in the way you think.

The latest brain-child from the king of that unique brand of British pessimism, Ricky Gervais, is now out on Netflix. It gives us Tony, a guy who (after the death of his wife) develops the ‘superpower’ of not giving a fuck.

The recordings left by Lisa (his wife) offer Tony little comfort, and he refuses to throw himself into his job. Instead, he takes out his frustration on random park-goers and ginger kids.

It’s possibly his most serious role, but the comedy of Gervais just walking around doing and saying whatever he feels like practically writes itself! It certainly offers us a vent for all those frustrating moments when we want to say something but don’t dare to actually do it.

But Tony’s surrounded by people trying to get him back on his feet. Not giving a fuck is hard when everyone gives a fuck about you. The show promises to be hilarious and heart-breaking, but definitely unmissable!
