The Meg 2 will arrive at the theatres on August 4th, 2023, just in time for the summer. It’s almost five years after the premiere of the first one.
The Meg 2 synopsis
According to Movie Web, the second movie is based on The Trench, a novel by the same author who wrote the 1997 novel Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror.
The Trench is set a few years after the events from the first book. A research team studied the Mariana Trench, where the megalodon was discovered, and they also found another prehistoric creature, the Kronosaurus.
The Meg 2 cast
Jason Statham is going to play his role again as Jonas Taylor. Cliff Curtis will also return as James “Mac” Mackreides, Page Kennedy, and Shuya Sophia.
