‘The Last Of Us’ Actress Anna Torv Describes The Clicker Fight

Warning: Spoiler alert for the second episode of HBO’s ‘The Last of Us

The show is written and produced by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, mainly based on the highly acclaimed video game of the same name created by Naughty Dog, designed explicitly for PlayStation devices. The show stars Bella Ramsey as Ellie Williams, Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller, Anna Torv as Tess, and many more. The series and the games are set 20 years after the Cordyceps fungus destroys the world’s population, killing millions and transforming them into flesh-eating monsters.

In the second episode of the show ‘The Last of Us,’ star Anna Torv discusses the stressful clicker encounter, saying that the infected actors were terrifying while filming the scene. When Ellie, Joel, and Tess attempt to explore a crumbling museum in the second episode, they discover one type of fully infected called clickers. The Last of Us Sunday episode kept the sorrow coming as viewers witnessed one of the game’s most tragic deaths on Screen. Tess, who had been introduced as Joel’s partner and friend, met a terrible end in episode 2 when she recognized she had been infected and decided to sacrifice her life to protect Ellie and Joel from a wave of infected attackers.

In an interview with ‘CinemaBlend,’ Anna Torv describes that while shooting the fight in the Second episode, the infected creatures weren’t just terrible on Screen; they were also terrifying in real life! The actor says that the animals were primarily made using prosthetics and makeup, which along with their well-practiced strange movement style and actual clicker sounds, made them highly terrible to be around. The Last of Us instantly overtook Game of Thrones as the network’s second-biggest launch in the past ten years.
