Chris Estrada is a well-known stand-up comedian. Currently, he’s bringing his talents to the small screen through his new series -This Fool.
The comedian made his acting debut through this new show. This fool is co-created, written, and produced by Chris Estrada himself. Famous actors like Frankie Quinones as Luis, Laura Patalano as Esperanza, Michelle Ortiz as Maggie, Julia Vera as Maria, and Michael Imperioli as Minister Payne have joined him on screen.
The series is based on the life and stand-up material of Estrada. He plays the role of Julio Lopez. He is a 30-year-old who still lives at home; he is in a relationship with his high school girlfriend and avoids dealing with his problems.
The young man works at a non-profit gang rehabilitation organization named Hugs Not Thugs. Meanwhile, his older cousin Luis (Quinones), an ex-gang member, gets out of prison and moves in with Julio and his family. Luis then takes part in the organization, which might lead them to butt heads.
Unfortunately, the Netflix subscribers wishing to watch This Fool won’t be able to stream this series on the platform. This new series premiered on Friday, August 12th, on Hulu with all ten episodes. Each episode has a run time of half an hour.
As Hulu is releasing all ten episodes of This Fool at once, and the episodes are only 30 minutes long, it will be very easy for the viewers to binge-watch the series quickly, even for free.
