February 2023 is almost springtime, so it’s time to head back to Serenity!
The second season of Sweet Magnolias is already complete, and Netflix will launch it in 2023. The first season of this program debuted on the well-known streaming service in May 2020, and the second season followed in 2022.
The Netflix series protagonist JoAnna Garcia Swisher played Maddie Townsend, Brooke Elliot played Dana Sue Sullivan, and Heather Headley, played Helen Decatur, are all expected to return. Additionally, Tyler (played by Carson Rowland), Annie (Anneliese Judge), and Kyle (Logan Allen) will make a comeback.
Plot
The series is based on Sherryl Wood’s book of the same name. The film Sweet Magnolias follows the story of three childhood best friends, chef Dana Sue, A full-time divorcee Maddie and lawyer Helen who group to realize their long-held dream of opening a spa in their hometown of Serenity, South Carolina. After a fight at a restaurant, Maddie’s love Cal Maddox (Justin Bruening), lost his job and was arrested as the second season ended. What Cal and Maddie have in mind for them in the future will be revealed in Sweet Magnolias Season 3. After learning Cal’s secrets, how will Maddie respond?
Release Update
After the show’s official Twitter account published an update, the confirmation became publicly known. The showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson tweeted, “You guys, we’re returning to Serenity! We are pleased to announce that Sweet Magnolias will return for a third season. I am all excited to see all of you again!”

Filming Update
The following season’s filming was finished in October 2022; post-production had already started by the end of the previous year. There will be ten episodes in the upcoming third season of Sweet Magnolias. The third episode of the series will be available on Netflix in the first half of 2023.
