Season 3 of the show Star Trek: Picard is just around the corner. The long-awaited reunion of the whole cast of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ is expected to take place during the long-awaited season.

Just a few weeks before the film’s premiere, Paramount launched a stunning poster with a brand-new character and some well-known ones. The cast is identical to that on the season’s first image, but Ed Speleers, a newcomer to the franchise, has joined the firm group in the new poster.

Star Trek: Picard season 3’s unspecified role for Ed Speleers is a wild card. In the season 3 finale trailer, there are just two brief appearances by Speleers: Deanna Troi’s (Marina Sirtis) voiceover stating that she detects “a darkness… a whole darkness,” a close-up image of Speleers appearing sinister is shown. This raises the possibility that the mysterious man, Speleers, is a new villain working with Captain Vadic.

Ed Speleers is a famous face to many kinds of audiences. James “Jimmy” Kent from Downton Abbey was one of his most notable performances. In addition to playing the role of Stephen Bonnet in Outlander, Speleers also acted as Edward Seymour in Wolf’s Hall. Speleers also joins the fourth season of You on Netflix cast.
