A brand new teen movie, Royalteen, will start streaming on Netflix on Aug. 17th. This film involves romance, scandal, and secrets. Therefore, it can be a perfect movie to watch with a group of friends.
Per-Olav Sørensen and Emilie Beck direct this upcoming Norwegian original film. It’s based on a screenplay that Sørensen and Ester Schartum-Hansen co-wrote. It’s also a film adaptation of the book The Heir, written by Randi Fuglehaug and Anne Gunn Halvorsen.
The story involves a teen girl named Lena. She shifts from her hometown to a new school for a fresh start. While at the school, Lena came across Prince Karl Johan (Kalle). The two, however, quickly developed feelings for each other. Lena has a dark secret that she’s harboring and a scandal-ridden past. So, although Lena loves Kalle, she has a hard time being with him.
