The controversial comedian Roseanne Barr is set to return with a new Fox comedy show called “Roseanne Barr: Cancel This!”. This is her first comeback in nearly 20 years. Barr’s perspective on advancing Jewish and uplifting her “privileged brood” will be included in the hour-long comedy special, which premiers exclusively on Fox Nation on February 13, 2023. It was recorded in Texas in front of live audiences.
Her racist comments led to the cancellation of the Roseanne revival by ABC. Eventually, they renamed the show ‘The Conners,’ The comedian’s management company, ICM Partners, also terminated her contract, stating,
“What she wrote is contrary to our basic principles, both as persons and as a company.” After this, Barr tweeted at the time, “I am sorry for making a horrible joke about her politics and appearance. I should have been more careful and sensible. Please forgive me for my inappropriate joke.”
Four years after being dismissed from her show, Roseanne Barr makes fun of getting fired in a trailer of a new stand-up comedy. Soon after ABC brought back the popular comedy Roseanne, the show was canceled when Barr made a racial remark against a former Obama administration official, Valerie Jarett. Barr’s termination effectively signaled the end of the Roseanne revival because the actor served as the show’s face and was also creatively involved.

At this point, there is less chance of Barr appearing in the show ‘The Conners’. Despite this, the family’s matriarch will always play a role in the story because she influences her children, Jackie and Dan. It would be interesting to hear what Barr says in her upcoming stand-up special on the popularity of ABC’s Roseanne sequel.
