Netflix’s Making a Murder is without a doubt one of the most fascinating, yet frustrating shows there is, and the plot has thickened even further around a month after the release of season 2.
Making a Murder first emerged on our screens in 2015. It follows the life of Steven Avery, a man who was exonerated for a crime he did not commit after being falsely imprisoned for two decades.
Following his release, Avery was then imprisoned once again over the murder of 25 year old Teresa Halbach, and he remains in jail today.
The series essentially follows the case and examines the evidence. It has prompted numerous petitions for Avery’s release, as many people feel he has been set up, neglected or falsely accused and imprisoned.
It’s worth bearing in mind however, that Wisconsin officials have insisted the show does not present all of the evidence, and the series has been accused of being bias in favour of Avery.
I don’t know about you, but it was hard to watch for me, as it seemed so obvious to me that something was amiss.
Following the release of season 2 however (which I seriously need to catch up on) Avery’s attorney Kathleen Zellner has released a series of tweets in which she essentially claims to have solved the case. I’ll let you have a read of her thread below.
Making a Murderer watchers, listen up. I’m going to walk you through what I’ve learned through my investigation that you didn’t see in the show.

So in essence, Zellner believes Bobby and Scott committed the murder.
At this point I honestly don’t know what to think, the case is so complicated. Whatever the truth is, I hope it gets unearthed soon enough, as while the show is great, I can’t help but remember that there is a poor man potentially serving a sentence for a crime he didn’t commit.
What do you think? Is Avery innocent or guilty?
