Rumaan Alam‘s famous novel is the next to get the Netflix movie adaptation treatment. Streamer Netflix won the bidding against other streaming platforms in 2020 for digital rights to the book, and the film is now in production.
The film is directed and adapted by Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot). At the same time, Alam will serve as executive producer with Esmail, Julia Roberts, Lisa Gillan, Chad Hamilton, and Marisa Yeres Gill products.
‘Leave the World Behind’ Cast
Earlier, Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali were announced for the film. In recent coverage by Deadline, it is clear that Ethan Hawke, Myha’la Herrold, and Charlie Evans have been added to the casting team, which provides further reason to watch this movie (as if we didn’t already need more!).
